RIHANNA hugged, then briefly kissed ex-boyfriend Chris Brown just moments after her big win at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The sometimes turbulent relationship between the two turned sweet for a brief interlude Thursday night during a commercial break after the pop star won video of the year for her hit "We Found Love."
MTV showed the grainy footage shot from a distance on its website Friday. As Rihanna walks offstage, she smiles and reaches out to embrace Brown. She gives him a quick kiss, then tussles his newly bleached blond hair as she exits.

Chris Brown’s girlfriend KarruecheTran is reportedly angry with her boyfriend for sharing a kiss with his former girlfriend during the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Thursday.
According to a source, the 23-year-old aspiring model is “totally pissed off” with the 23-year-old rapper after sharing a congratulatory kiss with Rihanna for winning the ‘Video of the Year’ award, Us magazine reported.
“She felt the kiss was a public slap in the face,” the source said, adding that the ‘Run It’ hitmaker decided to attend the VMAs at the last minute, without telling Tran.
Earlier this year, multiple sources said Brown and Rihanna have been secretly hooking up.
“[Karrueche] and Rihanna really hate one another and Chris ultimately just does what he wants,” the source said.
“Seeing him with Rihanna at such a public event made her very angry,” the source added.
